Will Fulton 1600 Pound F2 Swing-Up, Wide-Track Trailer Jack Fit a 3 x 1-1/2 Inch Frame  

Question:

I have a trailer with a 3X1 1/2inch channel iron frame. Do the smaller 3inch Im assuming U-bolts threads go far enough up the bolt to tighten down on a 1 1/2inch wide channel iron?

A bolt through jack like # F1413040134 is not going to work for a 3 x 1-1/2 inch frame because as you have suspected the u-bolts will not work on a frame that small. It only works on 3x3 or 3x4 inch frames.

I recommend a weld on model like # FTJ120W0301 rated for 1200 pounds or # F1413060334 rated for 1600 pounds.. The bracket that mounts on the trailer will need to be welded on by a qualified professional welder. I have included a link to a video to the right of the 1200 pound version.
