Unhooking a sidewinder when truck and trailer are not straight?

In regards to coupling/uncoupling a trailer with a Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret like part # RP34FR, the kingpin centerline must be aligned with the turret centerline. The reason for this is due to the wedge that's installed on the kingpin, in order for the jaws to wraparound the king pin properly with the wedge installed, the king pin must be aligned with the pin box and the truck aligned with the trailer.
