Recommended Solar Panel System For Trickle Charging Two Boat Batteries

Question:

i am building a 22 acre lake on my farm. i do not have power on this location. i will have a covered floating dock with 2 boat slips. will this charge my batteries on 2 boats that i will have on this dock? plan is to mount some sort of solar panel on the roof of the dock and keep trickle charger on the batteries powered by solar. the lake is at my farm 5 hours from home so will need to be a trustworthy power source.

You're on the right path but this kit # 34282183 has items you don't need if you're just looking to trickle charge your boat batteries.

If you're just wanting to trickle charge your batteries then I recommend getting two of the OptiMate Solar Duo Solar Charging System with Controller - 10 Watt Solar Panel # MA49JR and mounting to your dock roof and connecting one to each battery. These panels are compatible with both Lead Acid and Lithium batteries

If you want a more powerful system you could use the Go Power Overlander Solar Charging System with Digital Solar Controller - 200 Watt Solar Panel # 34282181 but would need to wire the batteries in parallel unless you wanted to purchase two kits and wire them separately to each battery.
