Hot Water Heater Replacement for Atwood GH6-6E on a 1997 Winnebago Suncruiser RV

Hello, I am looking for a direct fit replacement water heater for my 97 Winnebego Suncruiser 37 RV. I currently have a Atwood model GH6-6E and would like to replace with a Tankless hot water on demand. Thank you

For your application I recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR68SR. This measures 12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 19-1/4" deep overall and has an 18-1/8" tall x 18-1/8" wide access door. I really like this water heater because it can heat up to 144 of Gallons of hot water per hour and it comes with a wall thermostat so you can adjust the temperature.

This will likely be slightly smaller than your current unit so you'll need to make some adjustments to the older cutout. This is pretty standard for water heaters though as it can be hit or miss when it comes to direct replacements, especially for the older Atwood line that was discontinued a bit ago.
