How To Install The Monitor Wire For The Roadmaster Invisibrake Supplemental Braking System
Question:
I have the invisabrake for my Ram 1500. I need to know how to connect the brake led light on the F-53 Ford Coachmen Motorhome that is hooked to the brake light switch installed on the Ram. Thank you,

The Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 monitor wire comes with "bullet" style connectors. The monitor wire will not connect to the brake light switch wire on your motorhome. It simply runs up to your dash for the light. On the vehicle side you'll tap into the brake light switch wire and then run it to the grill of your ram and connect to the motorhome side using the bullet connectors.
If you have an empty terminal on your 6-pole and 7-pole sockets on your Ram and motorhome then you can also just splice the wires into the empty terminals and use your adapter cable as the connection point. I prefer this method as you won't have an extra wire hanging around and it's one less thing you'll have to connect/disconnect when towing your Ram.
I've attached a little diagram below to help, but if you still have questions please let me know.
