Can ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank Pad be Put on Metal

Can I put the heating pad on the bottom/ exterior metal box that holds my fresh water tank and still be effective.

No, you should not stick the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank or Step Heater Pad w/ Thermostat - 25" Long x 7-1/4" Wide # 277-000163 onto any metal surface.
It would not be effective and conducts electricity so you definitely don't want to use the # 277-000163 on that type of surface.
