Selecting The Correct Slide Topper Awning For a 2015 CrossRoads Carriage 40RE With 13' 4" Slide Out

Solara Slide Out Awning White I think that your etrailer sales person on the phone recommended the wrong awing size twice! She said it was definitely pn lcv000163303 I kept telling her that my slide out measures 13'4" Im no expert, but a google search states that the new awning should measure 5inch beyond the slide on each side equaling 14'2", not 14'7". I dont want to have to return the wrong one. Please advise Thanks 2015 Carriage by Crossroads Model 40RE 5th Wheel

For your 2015 Crossroads Carriage 40RE 5th wheel camper with a flange to flange measurement of 13' 4"(160"), you will want the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning White # LCV000163301. The flange to flange is the widest points on the slide on the outside of your camper. This slide topper uses a fabric that is 13' 7"(163") wide and the hardware will stick out another 2-1/2" on each side. The information I am providing you is directly from the Solera guide for selecting the correct topper. I do know that depending on the manufacturer(Solera, Dometic and Carefree) they do use different measurement guides and it does become very confusing.

If the 13' 4"(160") measurement you gave is the actual slide room and not the outer flanges you will likely have a flange to flange near 13' 10"(166"). This will use a Topper # LCV000163302 14' 1"(169").

If you can please let me know who you spoke to I will talk with them to as the Topper # LCV000163303 would be much to wide for the numbers you provided and the mounting hardware will likely not even fit. The fabric alone is 14 '7" which is 1' 3" past your slide out.
