Troubleshooting Replacement Tail Light Wiring Install on a 1993 Prowler Trailer
Question:
i installed replacement tailights on my tralier.the left light has 4 wires,2 green,1 white and one red.i connected the 2 greens togeather and the white and black wire.the light worked fine and when i installed the right side 3 wires,the running light was the only one working,now i cant get anthing to work and running nights on the trailer dont work.im using plastic replacements.what is the problem

I would first use a circuit tester like our part # 3808 to test the wires you are trying to run to the replacement light assemblies so that you can verify that all of the functions are working properly and that you know what wires need to run where. Without knowing what light assembly you have it is hard to say what wires will need to be run where.
If you find that any of the circuits are not working on your trailer wiring you would want to trace the wiring back up to the 4-way looking for any cut or exposed wire that could be the problem and fix as necessary.
It sounds like the problem is either that you do not have the wires run correctly or some of the circuits are not fully-functional on your trailer connector.
