Are There Shims Between the Head and Shank on the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System
Question:
My camper dealer installed my hitch and I’m curious if there should be shims to eliminate the gap between shank and the head of my Equalizer Hitch shown in the pictures attached. Appreciate it.

In regards to an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System like part # EQ37120ET, there are no shims between the shank and head. There can be a small amount of gap and this is totally normal. I have attached both a picture of the head/shank assembled with this gap and the diagram of the head/shank from the manual for reference.
