What Does the o.9 Error Code Mean on the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
I bought this brake controller an I installed on GMC Sierra 2008 everything looks good it turn on it says its working but when I start the truck code 0.9 appears , I already try wiring the ground directly to battery post but it keep showing same code . I really appreciate of you can help me to solve this problem thanks.

I took a look at the owner's manual for the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 and found that the o.9 code represents a bad controller ground. I would first start by wiring the brake controller ground directly to the negative battery terminal. If the issue still persists try changing out the ground on the trailer connectors for both the vehicle and trailer. If the issue still persists then it could be a faulty controller and it will need to be replaced but it has a lifetime warranty for the original owner so you should be covered.
