Does Curt Echo In-Line Brake Controller Allow 12V Power to Continue to Trailer

Question:

1. In an electric over hydraulic application, what is the output to the brake actuator while fully stopped zero inertia with tow unit brakes applied? In my application I want this to be zero. 2. Does this control allow the 12V Auxiliary battery power feed to continue on unimpeded to the trailer? Thanks

Expert Reply:

With proportional controllers, there will be no power going to the EOH braking unit when stopped, and that includes when you are using the Curt Echo In-Line Wireless Brake Controller # C79DR.

Additionally, yes, the 12 volt power will indeed continue through the Echo # C79DR and the 7-way to your trailer; there will not be any interruption in the power feed.
