Weight and Compatibility of 2,000 lbs Axle 5 on 4-1/2 Hub Combo and Components for a Custom Trailer
Question:
I am designing a trailer and would like to know the total mass of the design. I have ed the following components. Will you please help: 1 ensure the components are compatible with eachother 2 if there is a less expensive way to purchase the kit, please suggest one 3 please tell me the approximate weight of the total components. Dexter Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs item # 20545I-ST-72-15 weighs 40 lbs. This includes both idlers and the axle.
Kenda Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Black Mod Wheel item # AM32424 weighs 46 lbs. This wheel has a 5 on 4-1/2 and is compatible with the above idler hubs.
6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 4,500-lb Trailer Axles - 26" Long item # e27SR weigh 10 lbs a piece. These springs have a 26" center to center distance between bolt holes. You will want to ensure your hangers are the same.
U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 2,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles - 4-1/4" Long U-Bolts item # APUBR-10 weighs 3 lbs and will work with the 2,000 lbs Deter axle item # 20545I-ST-72-15.
