There is absolutely an adapter you can use to carryover your old Reese 16K above bed rail mounted fifth wheel hitch on your new 2016 Ford F-250 with the factory prep/puck system. It's the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter for Standard 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # RP30156 and it features a simple drop-in installation. The only thing to note is that it will raise the height of your fifth wheel hitch a few inches so you may have some adjusting to do but there should be no issues.
