Best Cost Effective Brake Controller for 2001 Ford Ranger with 4-Way Wiring

Question:

I have a 2001 ranger 4x4 XLT pick up With a 4 pin plug and hitch I may purchase a Coleman Rubicon light camping trailer . I want to install a brake controller and a 7pm plug / 4 pin plug combo. What parts do I need to purchase , does it come as a kit ? Plug, wiring, fuse / circuit breakers and controller ? Plus instructions I want good quality but as inexpensive as possible Any help would be appreciated Thanks

The best brake controller that is also easy on price is for sure the Tekonsha Brake EVN part # TK63VR as it's uses an inertia sensor to determine how hard you are applying the vehicle brakes, is easy to use and program, and is also very reliable. To convert your 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install this kit what you'd need is just the # ETBC7 and you'd be set. This kit comes with everything needed to convert from the 4-way to a 7-way as well as wire in the brake controller.
