Comparing Replacement Inner Member for Dexter DX7.5L Actuator Part DX99FR and Part DX39FR

Question:

Whats the difference between these two actuators below? And are there any issues if you use a Dual Disc Actuator on a single disc trailer? Is it okay to do that? 099-060-10 Dexter A-60 Single Disc Actuator 099-060-20 Dexter A-60 Dual Disc Actuator

Expert Reply:

The only difference between the Replacement Inner Member for Dexter DX7.5L Actuator part # DX99FR and part # DX39FR is that the former is for tandem axle trailers with disc brakes and the latter is for single axle trailers with disc brakes or tandem axle trailer with drum brakes. I don't recommend using either actuator outside of these parameters.
