Will Switching to 3,500 lb 4-Leaf Double-Eye Springs Impact Ride Quality & Ride Height

Question:

I have a 6 x 10 trailer with a 3500 lb. axle. I am considering going from 3 leaf to 3 leaf springs. Will this make my trailer ride rougher or smoother, also will it raise my ride height?

Installing a 3,500 lb 4-leaf like the # e97SR won't impact your ride quality assuming they are the same 3,500 lb capacity. Leaf count can vary within the same capacity springs, but they will all work the same. The only advantage might be a slight increase in durability with the extra material. The ride height will only be impacted if the springs are mounted on top of the axle. Your typical leaf will be 5/16" - 3/8" thick so it wouldn't be a noticeable difference.
