Will Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Fit a 2010 Chevy Colorado Z71

Question:

Am wondering why you say this base plate cannot be used on a 2010 Chevy Colorado Z71? My vehicles transfer case allows for me to put it in neutral. Its my understanding that I can tow four wheels down when in neutral. Please advise.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1656 will fit your 2010 Chevy Colorado Z71 and you are correct that you can flat tow it behind your motorhome.

We have this listed as fitting the Xtreme and Z71 Off-Road models as well as "excluding" these models in the event that someone looking at this base plate kit doesn't have one of the models. So it's more of a "both-and" type of situation.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
