Would an Airlift 1000 System Help with Sag on a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I bought a new trailer with a 630 tongue weight and I also bought a new 1000 lb rated weight distribution hitch at the same time, however I am experiencing about 2.5 inches of sag in the back. My jeep is rated to pull 7400 lbs. Will this product resolve that problem? Also, is it easy to install by myself at home? I only need this product I suppose for when I tow, once a month, but I would like to level the rig out. Thanks for your help.

The first thing I would do is confirm that you have your weight distribution system set up correctly. You may find that it does not have enough spring bar pressure to distribute enough of the tongue weight to the front axle of your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. You may find that you need to tilt the head of your system back towards the rear of the vehicle or take a few links out of the chain hangers.
If you have everything set up correctly on the weight distribution system then using an AirLift 1000 Air Helper Spring kit # AL60754 would help to take out the sag. I attached installation instructions to show you how it would install. It should not be too hard, I installed a similar kit on my car without any issues.
I would also confirm that your LOADED tongue weight is not higher than the capacity of your vehicle. You should note that the weight of any cargo behind your rear axle should be considered as tongue weight as well.
I attached an FAQ article on determining tongue weight for you to check out also.
