Replacement 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector Recommendation with 5 Wires

Question:

Hi I have utility trailer that the plug was ripped off of. 4 pin but 5 wires. looks like there is white wire for a ground from the harness that is bolted to the trailer. but there is another white, yellow, green and 2 brown wires, looks like the green and brown go to one side and the yellow and the other brown to the other. What to do with the white

To replace the 4-Way Flat connector on your utility trailer I recommend picking up the Wesbar Wishbone Wiring Harness # 002402 and then making your connections using the Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05744-5. This has the 5 wires coming off of the connector and it sounds like you'll be connecting them per color.

Just for reference though, here are the different functions you should find on each of those wires:

Green: Right turn/brake light
Yellow: Left turn/brake light
Brown: Tail/running lights
White: Ground wire
