Timbren Axle-Less Suspension For A 2018 Starcraft Satellite 18MK
Question:
Bought a 2018 Starcraft Satellite 18MK a year ago and I have taken 3 trips and gone through 2 dexter axles being bent. After much research and emails to Dexter and Starcraft I found it has an 89inch axle with a 58inch spring center when it needs a 74inch spring center but the design of the frame will not accommodate more than 58. Starcraft will not help because I am not original owner and Dexter will not help because the spring center mounting is wrong. In doing my research I came across the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System and was wondering if this Suspension system would be good to replace what I have? Looking forward to hearing from you.

With your axles bending constantly and not having the correct spring center mounting, The Timbren Axle-Less Suspension # ASR5200S01 would be a great replacement for your 2018 Starcraft Satellite 18MK.
Using the system mentioned above it gives you two independent units that can eliminate the need for a thru axle. Doing this will increase your ground clearance and will fit any trailer width. The Timbrens are easy to install and align. They can either be bolted on or welded onto your trailer's frame.
The system will fit hubs with an Inner Bearing # 25580 and an Outer Bearing # 14125A. So The Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum for 5.2K to 7K Axles - 12" - 8 on 6-1/2 - Galvanized # AKHD-865-7-G-EZ-K will be the correct kit that will work with the Timbrens. The brake flange of the Timbren system is a 5 bolt so The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-180-181 is the correct brake system needed.
