P2 Brake Controller Recommendation for Use with Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator

Question:

I have a 2009 Chevy 2500 hd. Trailer has dexter eoh. Have tekonsha voyager brake controller. Everything worked fine then posts on 12 v 9 amp battery corroded and broke off. I replaced battery with 12 v 7 amp battery. Breakaway works but actuator does not kick in when push brakes. Controller light turns green to red when brake is applied and appears to be working properly. Can you help. Thanks

The Dexter Electric over Hydraulic actuators require a 12 volt 9 amp battery to work, I believe that is why your system quit working.

The Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller # 39510 that you referenced is not designed to work with electric over hydraulic actuators so I am surprised it worked for you at all. The best recommendation I can make for you would be to get a P2 Brake Controller # 90885. This controller has an electric over hydraulic mode that you can put it into I can guarantee will work with your Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic actuator # K71-650.
