Replacement Timbren Axle System For a Tandem Axle 7 X 14 Enclosed Trailer
Question:
I have a all aluminum 7X14 enclosed double torsion axel trailer. I hit a pothole, it destroyed the rim and tire. It bent the Torsion axel as well. Will your product work on this application? Is the price per product or for a pair. Do I need to change both axels with yours or will 1 work for now. Maybe I will need to change both? Thank you for your time.

It appears the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs # A35RD545E would be the kit you need on your 7'X14' enclosed trailer. To verify this is the correct option for your trailer you will need to verify a couple measurements on your trailer. First this is a replacement for a 3,500lb axle that will give you a hub face that sits 6" off of the trailer frame. The axle centerline will sit 1/4" below the base of the frame rail and the suspension will compress 1-3/4" vertically. You will want to ensure this is similar to your current axle so that your wheels and tires fit without allowing them to touch the fenders or frame.
If you find any of your measurements are different please let me know what measurements you have and I can verify if this will fit.
I recommend changing both axles so that you will not have 2 different suspension systems. With the different suspensions you could experience issues as one axle may carry more weight as they will likely compress and rebound at different rates.
