Solution for Thule Hull-A-Port Pro Carrier with Broken Hinge
Question:
Thule Hull-a-Port Pro: No longer locks in upright position. Mechanism seems to be stripped. Is it possible to fix? Thanks in advance.

Expert Reply:
If the upright portion of the Thule Hull-A-Port Pro that you have is stripped and won't lock anymore it would be time for a new rack as there isn't a way to fix the rack since that mechanism isn't repairable or replaceable.
Thule recently redesigned the carrier and it's now known as the Hull-A-Port Aero part # TH849000 which has an improved hinge mechanism as well.
