Can You Replace Load Range C 205/75-15 Tires On Trailer with Load Range E
Question:
Can I run E rated tires at 65 psi safely if they are replacing C rated tires at 50 psi? My travel trailer is 7500# GVWR. I needed tires quickly and I could only get E rated 10 ply ST205/75R15. It looks like they replaced the the valve stems with standard 65 psi stems.

I do have an option for you but we don't offer any E rated tires in this size, only B, C, and D. That said, I just recommend sticking with the load range you have as this will produce the best ride for the trailer. If you find yourself needing more capacity then you are likely exceeding the weight capacity of the trailer so you'll need to be sure to check this. If you just need new tires I recommend the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" White Spoke Wheel part # AM32395 which comes as a pre-mounted combo.
In regards to tire pressure, we must always recommend you fill them to the max psi listed on the sidewall per the manufacturer.
