Running Lights Stopped Working on Tent Camper
Question:
all of my lights were working except one running light so i tried to fix it without turning the car off first. there was a quick spark and then none of the running lights worked. i am suspecting that i blew a fuse or possibly shorted out something but there is my problem. the vehicle is a tent camper and there is no fuse block on the camper. the running lights on the truck still work and i was wondering if they are directly connected to the running lights on the camper? my running lights on the camper are using the green and white. i get no signal at the seven pin plug when running lights are on but i get signal for all others? all the fuses on my truck are good.... wondering if i could get some direction.

The spark was most likely an indication of a short circuit that has blown the running light circuit which is why none of the running lights are working. You mentioned the fuses on the truck but if the tent camper is plugged into the truck then there can be separate tow package fuses that you will need to check. Find their locations using the owners manual.
You will also want to make sure that the connectors are all clean and corrosion free inside and out. Any and all lights will need to be grounded to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. A bad ground was most likely the initial problem. I have included links to the right to a couple of FAQ articles that you can use to help troubleshoot further.
