How to Pick out the Correct Rise/Drop Ball Mount for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Question:
I just bought a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, 2012. I tow a Ranger 185vs boat. The top of the receiver opening is 21 and a half inches from the ground. What size should I get. Also, will the tire on the back of the Jeep interfere with hitching or unhitching the trailer? Thanks!

You need to take one more measurement to determine what rise/drop ball mount you need. You need to take your trailer to level ground, use the jack to adjust the trailer so that it sits as level as possible and then measure from the bottom lip of the coupler to the ground and then you need to take the difference between that figure and the 21 inches from the top of the coupler to the ground to determine what rise/drop ball mount you need.
I attached an FAQ article on how to do this also.
