What Is The Motor Measurements On The Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-3555
Question:
Hello, I see a couple of measurements mount to top etc but can you please provide the measurements of the motor unit for e.g. the size of the motor unit etc. I have clearance issues when opening an automated SUV hatch if the trailer is connected, it currently strikes the jack handle if the handle is not directed straight down. Second Q - does the orientation of the unit matter, could this be mounted sideways 90 facing the passenger side, instead of facing directly forward cant see why not as long as the bolt pattern works??. Thank you for your time.

When it comes to installing The Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-3555 per the manufacturer The motor unit is 4-1/2 inches by 3 inches. When it comes to the orientation of the jack you will have to turn the whole jack and not just the head of the jack. In doing you may need to make new holes which is fine but would need to sand them down for metal to metal contact.
The housing on the jack is made out of a vacuum-formed plastic that will protect it from the elements.
