Recommended Transmission Cooler Add-On for 1999 Ford F-250
Question:
I am wanting to upgrade my transmission cooler. What do you recommend? 1999 Ford F250 Light duty, 5.4 , 4x4. I have an OEM cooler now, I tow a RV and boat and my transmission temp gets too hot. I want something bigger.

I recommend using the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13614 to supplement the factory transmission cooler on a 1999 Ford F-250. This is a stacked cooler which is extra efficient meaning it will provide greater cooling in a smaller package. I recommend installing this inline with the existing cooler and not replacing. Please note, you'll need to add a bit more fluid to the system because of the extra lines and cooler capacity.
