Do Furnace Thermostat Wires of Atwood RV AC Unit Have to be Ran
Question:
I bought an Atwood roof top ac with heat pump. I am installing it in my pilgrim 5th wheel camper. I am wondering if I need to hook up the 2 blue thermostat wires being that the new ac unit has its own thermostat? If I were to use the campers gas furnace could I just use the old thermostat? Thanks

The two blue wires of the Atwood RV AC Unit part # AT15028-22 do normally run to the furnace thermostat but if wanted to keep that thermostat separate from the Atwood one you could easily do so by not running the blue wires.
