The Thule OutWay 2 Bike Carrier, # TH45JV, would be an excellent bike rack for your 2013 Toyota Avalon. This is one of the most popular trunk mount bike racks on the market and would serve you well. One of my coworkers uses this bike rack and loves it.

If you plan on carrying any women's, children's or alternative frame bikes, I recommend looking into a bike adapter bar like part # TH982XT.
