Expert Reply:

I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600 with your 4,000LB boat and trailer. This hitch is rated to work on trailers with 200-600lbs of tongue weight and a maximum trailer weight up to 6,000lbs. In the event your trailer uses a pole tongue the Pole-Tongue Adapter # EQ95-01-5950 will allow you to use the weight distribution hitch with the straight tongue.

You will need a hitch ball to match your coupler. We have a 2" # EQ91-00-6080 or 2-5/16" # EQ91-00-6100 depending on what coupler size your trailer requires. You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the hitch ball onto the Fastway head.
