How To Wire In The Progressive Dynamics Power Center Without A Battery

Question:

I am wiring the 12V DC side of the panel. There are no batteries in this camper and the camper only uses shore power. When wiring the 12V DC side I have attached the red/positive wires running to the lights, water pump, etc. to the numbered wires coming out the back of the unit. Where do the black wires returning from the appliances get wired to? Do they need to go to a bus bar? If so, where do I wire the bus bar into this converter unit? Or do I just wire the black and red to the same wire protruding from the back of the unit? Greatly appreciate your insight.

Since you aren't using a battery for you installation you'll leave the jumper in place that connects the fuse board to the Battery POS terminal and run a ground wire from the Battery GND terminal to the chassis of your trailer. You'll also need to install a separate bus bar for the DC appliances to ground to, which will also need to be grounded to the chassis.

I've seen bus bars like this usually just mounted to the floor in the cabinet behind the power center # PD4045KA so that it's easily accessible when wiring in appliances to the power center.
