Should Weight of Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution be Added to Tongue Weight of Trailer
Question:
Should the weight of a WDH be added to tongue weight of a trailer when considering the tow vehicles tongue weight limit. I know it should be added to payload.

That's a good question but no, the weight of a weight distribution hitch like the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Clamp On - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # BXW1006 does not get added to the trailer tongue weight.
What happens is the # BXW1006 basically becomes part of your trailer hitch, so its actual weight doesn't count against the tongue weight.
