Trailer Lights Stopped Working Suddenly when Connected to a 2005 Nissan Frontier

Question:

I had the nissan genuine harness kit with the 2 relays installed but recently my trailer tail lights stopped working so I ordered your 118525 kit thinking it would fix problem but, still no tail lights. Had a buddy hook up his truck and all lights on trailer work. Any ideas what could be wrong. Sarah suggested there maybe a relay that needs to be installed but, cannot find any place left of steering column to install relay.

Your 2005 Nissan Frontier does use relays but there can also be fuses associated with the tow package wiring. Use the vehicle owners manual to find the locations of any fuses/relays related to the tow package wiring and replace as needed. The owners manual should also indicate any internal relays or fuses in the cab of the vehicle. If a relay is needed inside the vehicle, it will be one of the blue relays in the Curt Relay Kit # C57000.
