Wiring Functions of Command Electronics Triple LED Tail Light for 2017 Winnebago Vista LX 27N

Question:

I have a 2017 Winnebago Vista LX 27N and I'm replacing the cheap OEM tail lights which are incandescent. Is there an issue with LEDs on the same circuit as running lights will remain incandescent. I am trying to sort out the wiring: Your picture of the wiring shows 6 wires 2R/2Blk/1W/1Blu yet another picture of the unit wired only shows 5 wires. Help!

Since they are on the same circuit, you will want to switch the running lights to LED as well when installing the # CE44VR. Mixing the two has a tendency to cause problems with the lights functioning, and it is definitely important to have working lights on your motorhome.

As far as the wires go, this light has 6 wires coming out of the back. The red wires are stop and turn signals, the black are the running light/tail light, the purple is the reverse light, and the white is the ground. It is likely that the colors won't match on your 2017 Winnebago Vista LX 27N so you will need to match the wires based on their function. If you don't know which wires correspond with which functions you can use a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to identify them.

I have attached a review video below for your reference. If you watch starting at the 2:10 mark you will see how the light is wired.
