Replacement Control Module For Kwikee 32 Series Steps That Extend When The Ignition Is ON

Question:

I have a 2019 Jayco Alante 26X and am told by Jayco that it was supplied with a Kwikee 3722615 powered step a Lippert part #. The steps seem to work perfectly fine when the coach is stopped and turned off. The steps extend and retract when the door is opened and closed. When I turn the step power switch off, the steps will extend when the door is opened and will remain extended when I close the door. If I turn on the ignition, the steps immediately EXTEND, ... regardless of the position of the door and/or power switch. If I turn the key off with the door closed and the power switch on, the steps will retract. I suspect that the controller is on the fritz Lippert tech support thinks that may be the case as well but I wanted to get your opinion before spending the money and finding out it was something else. I have checked the ground wire and confirmed that I have a full 12VDC on the yellow ignition wire when the key is on. I also confirmed that it goes to 0VDC when the ignition is turned off. If you agree that the controller is probably bad, can you tell me which controller would be associated with the model of steps that I have? The video for LC379146 suggests its for older models and Im unsure how to determine which would be the correct replacement. Thanks in advance for your help!
