5th Wheel Rails and Hitch for a 2017 Ford F-150 w/ 5.5' Bed

I need a 5th Wheel rail and hitch kit for my 2017 Ford F-150 XLT 4WD 5.5 bed. I will be pulling a Winnebago Micro Minnie 2405RG camper which weighs 6000#. Sliding Vs. Fixed and height. Web site references Sidewinder kingpin

It is not ideal to tow a 5th wheel trailer with a truck that has a 5.5' bed, this has to do with clearance issues. That being said, the only way to make this work is with a fixed hitch and a rotating pin box like a Sidewinder. This will require you to change the pin box on your Winnebago Micro Minnie 2405RG if you do not already have a rotating pin box.

For your 2017 Ford F-150, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50087-58 and the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30928. This will provide you with a set of rails and a fixed 5th wheel hitch that will work with a rotating pin box.

In order to recommend the correct rotating pin box, you will need to know your pin box number. I have attached a help article that goes over how to determine your pin box number.
