Tire Sidewall Clearance With Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # TASR5200S03
Question:
I see there is a recommended clearance from top of tire to bottom of fender of at least 3. However, there is no mention about side tire clearance. I have approximately 1inch of tire clearance on each side of tire to side fender. Is that sufficient? I am assuming the independent axles only articulate up and down and not lean side to side. Is this a correct assumption?

You are correct that 1" of side wall clearance is sufficient with the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # TASR5200S03. While the suspension does articulate up and down the tire itself can widen due to stress. This 1" sidewall clearance also helps to ensure that if there is road debris(rocks, etc) most of which is less than 1" wide, it will not get pinched between the tire and fender and damage the tire.
I recommend pairing this Timbren System with the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-464-465 and Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-201-5UC3-EZ
