205/75R15 Trailer Tire w/ 6 on 5-1/2 Bolt Pattern to Replace P205/65R15 Tires on Trailer

Question:

I am looking for 3 P205-65R15 tires with 15 inch 6 lug wheels. They are on a 5x8 flat bed trailer that is rated for 3500lbs. I do not know if the wheels are 6 on 5 or 5 1/2. They were on it when I got it and they were used. Appreciate any help you can provide.

The "P" on your 205/65R15 tires means that is a passenger tire, and you definitely don't want that on a trailer as they don't have the necessary sidewall stiffness, so replacing them is a really good idea. There aren't 205/65R15 trailer tires but there is a close size, 205/75R15, and what you'll need is the following:

- Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 6 on 5-1/2 # TA87VR

The # TA87VR is the same width as your tire, but the top of the tire will be 13/16" taller than your current tire. So you'll just want to make sure you still have clearance above your tire to the fender or trailer bed. The wheel has a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, which I'm confident you have as there is not a 6 on 5" trailer hub bolt pattern.

This tire has a 2,150 lb capacity so it's great for your trailer weight, along with an 81 mph speed rating for highway use and a deep 9.8/32" tread depth for grip. This wheel fits 1/2"-20 wheel bolts, so for lug nuts use Trailer Wheel Lug Nut # AM90049.
