Is Supplemental Braking Required when Flat Towing a 2011 Chevy Malibu

I am thinking about towing a 2011 Chev Malibu with a Falcon II tow bar. Do I need supplemental braking?

Most states require supplemental braking when flat-towing, plus its just a much safer idea that I would say yes, you do need it.

I would check your local laws though just to be certain on what is required for flat towing.

We often recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System # RM-9400 as this braking system will apply the brakes of the towed vehicle in proportion with the tow vehicle for the smoothest stopping action.
