Thule Cargo Box that Will Not Interfere w/Small Hard Antenna or Hatch on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:

I am looking to purchase the THARB53, THKIT4019 and TH460 cross rack system for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am interested in the Luggage Rack TH6358B to use on it. My questions is that the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees have a hard plastic antenna at the rear of the roof vs, the flexible wire type in older designs. Will the TH6358B clear it? It is 3 inches tall and sits about 48 inches back from the front side of the flush mounted factory rails. Also, will the back hatch open with that long of a cargo rack? thanks

This question has come up before. That small antenna should not be an issue because with the Thule AeroBlade bars installed they measure 5-1/8 from the roof line to the top of the bars. The cargo box will rest on top of the rails so it will not be any lower than that. An antenna that is 3 inches tall would not be an issue.

The rear hatch will not be a problem either for the Force XT cargo box, # TH6358B. It will fit and still allow the rear hatch to open all of the way without interference from the box.

I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation of the roof rack and a link to a video on the cargo box for you.

One other thing in your question you mentioned foot pack TH460 but you will actually need # TH460R for the AeroBlade bars.
