As long as the gooseneck hitch in your truck is a B and W Turnover Ball, Hide-A-Goose or a Bulldog Under-Bed gooseneck hitch, then the Draw-Tite Hi-Rise 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter, # 9480, will fit in your truck.
Even though the Hi-Rise may fit, there are a few factors that you will want to consider when using the Hi-Rise in a short bed truck. The Hi-Rise adapter will not provide enough clearance to prevent the trailer from hitting the truck cab in tight turning situations. A sliding fifth wheel hitch or a Sidewinder pin box are typically required to safely execute 90 degree turns with short bed trucks. Also, the Hi-Rise is not compatible with Sidewinder pin boxes.
It is important to know your turning radius so you do not find yourself in a situation where you could damage the truck or trailer. If you want a solution that will allow you to safely make 90 degree turns, your best option would be to replace your gooseneck hitch with a fifth wheel kit. If you are interested in this option, send me the year, make and model of your truck and I would be happy to make some recommendations.
