Will Leveling Out 5th Wheel Trailer Place More Weight on the Trailer
Question:
2008 ford f250 King Ranch 6.4L 10,000 payload package 6000 lb front axle 6100 lb rear axle Currently when hook the 2020 montana 3121rl to my 5th wheel hitch, the truck s 3 inches measured at the rear bumper. If I install the AL88212 and it raises the truck back up three inches, does this not shift pin weight from the truck back to the trailer? Any weigh to calculate a rough estimate of the weight shift?

Thanks for reaching out!
I suppose in a very technical sense bringing up your towing rig to level will place some weight back on the trailer but since you're supposed to load your trailer and measure tongue weight with the trailer level all you'll really be doing by leveling out your rig is giving yourself a much safer and enjoyable ride quality.
The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers # AL88212 are an excellent way to help level out your 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty when towing your 5th wheel. I also recommend picking up the Air Lift QuickShot Compressor System # AL25690 because it allows you to monitor and adjust your air bags on the ply plus it has an external port from the tank that can be used to fill up various things like vehicle and bike tires as well as sports balls and floatation devices - all of which are pretty common for 5th wheel camping.
Attached are some review videos for you to check out as well as a helpful article on how to find trailer tongue weight that you can adapt for your 5th wheel trailer if you have access to a commercial scale.
