Can I use a 12 volt trickle power source for the heating pad on my black water tank.

No, when using a heating pad like the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank or Step Heater Pad w/ Thermostat # 277-000164 you cannot use a 12v trickle power source. You will need to have the pad hooked up to a battery or through a converter.
