Troubleshooting The Greystone Outdoor RV Griddle And Grill That Won't Ignite

Question:

Hi, Ive had the way34 17inch grill/ griddle combo for maybe a year and im already having to light it with my lighter. I checked the ignitor and I had a spark. I do not hear gas flowing when I push in on dial. I have to turn the dial for gas but then stops before ignition sparks. Do you have a part # for the push in gas valve, or do you know what I need to replace? Thanks,

Before we start replacing parts, I recommend checking out a few things first.

Since you mentioned that your Greystone Outdoor RV Griddle and Grill # WAY34FR won't ignite there are a few things that may be contributing to this.

The first thing I recommend checking is going to be your gas supply. You'll want to ensure that your propane supply isn't empty as this could be the reason that your grill isn't lighting. If it is empty, fill your tank(s) and check again.

If your propane is filled up, the next thing I recommend checking is the regulator. A defective regulator can also be the source of the issue you're having. If you're hearing popping sounds, noticing soot on the burner, or seeing a orange/yellow flame, that usually is a sign of a bad regulator.

If this is your case, you'll need to replace your current regulator and check again.

If still no change, the last things you'll need to check is the burners for obstructions, as well as your injection and gas hose.

You'll want to inspect these things and make sure there are no obstructions. If there are any, simply clean and check again. You'll also want to make sure that your injection and gas hose is cleaned out as well.

If you're still having issues after checking these things, feel free to come back and we can continue to troubleshoot.
