Troubleshooting Stiff K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors on a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek

Question:

I cannot get the mirror to rotate in the ball and socket on the KS69ZR towing mirror. They fit great on my Subaru crosstrek 2017 but I need to manually adjust the mirror and the ball and socket wont budget. any tips?

The K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors # KS69ZR are great because they fit a lot of applications, like your 2017 Subaru Crosstrek, but they can be a bit of a pain to adjust at times as they tend to be stiff. When I've tried adjusting them on the vehicle I've been afraid I'd bend the OEM mirror some so I if you're at that point then I recommend taking the mirrors off and working them around a little to loosen them up or have someone help brace the arms of the mirror while you use two hands to move the mirror just so you can be a little more confident with the mirror rotation.
