Recommended Weight Distribution System for 6K Trailer with Reverse

Question:

Hello, I am looking to possibly get a distribution trailer hitch as I believe that is what I need to do. I just bought a travel trailer and my wife and I are going to be going fulltime in it. The dry weight of the trailer is 4,815 lbs. SO to be safe I will say my trailer weight once everything Is loaded it will be 6,315 lbs. Does that mean the tongue weight will be approximately between 631-948lbs . Would you recommend getting distribution hitch that does 1000 lbs minimum for tongue weight? Also Since we will be living in rv parks we will need to back it up into spaces. Which ones work best for backing up? Thanks,

The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System part # EQ37100ET which is rated for up to 10,000 lbs will be a great option for a trailer around 6,000 lbs loaded. This system has integrated sway control and it allows for reversing without disengaging the spring bars. It offers a drill-free install with lifetime warranty. It's largely considered to be one of the best systems on the market and it has everything you need for setup including the hitch ball.
