To install a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 on your 2013 GMC Yukon XL there are 2 wires that will need to be connected under the hood. The wire you found in the fender well attaches to give power to the brake controller. The other wire is for the charge line(see image) and this wire is hit an miss if it is already connected. You can see the 2 front posts on the front of your fuse box to see if the charge line wire is already connected with the M6 Nut # 185916. The M8 Nut # 185917 secures the brake control power wire from the fender.
