The best option to replace your Atwood 6-gallon G6A3, gas-only water heater is another gas-only heater, but one that is tankless, from Furrion:

- Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR68SR

Tankless water heaters are much better options because they use up far less energy and give you hot water on demand so you don't have to wait around waiting for the water to warm up. This unit is 12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 19-1/4" deep, so it is the same width and shorter as your Atwood, but 1-1/4" deeper, so you'll want to make sure you have that bit of extra space in your compartment.

Also, the door on this is 18" tall x 18 wide", while the Atwood has a 14" tall x 18" wide door, so you'll need to do some trimming to fit, though this is going to be the case with any heater due t the size of that Atwood door.

Happy to try and help, and there is one other option that is smaller, from Fogatti. It is also a tankless water heater, and it measures 14-3/8" deep x 15" wide x 15" tall so it is not as deep as yours, but is about 2 inches wider and taller. If that will work, you can use either of the following, and you'll also need the relief valve for installation: - Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Black # LSB44FR or White # LSB64FR - Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve # CAM10423 The other thing to keep in mind is the Fogatti's door measures 14-15/16" tall x 14-15/16" wide, so you'll need to have trim added in order to fit the large 18" width of the Atwood door.
