Recommended Brake Controller for a 2021 Ford Edge w/ Factory Towing Package
Question:
I have a 2019 Ford Edge WITH factory tow package. It doesnt appear that there is a hard wire brake controller with 7-pin connector available for my application. Seems strange. Does no one tow anything with an Edge?

I have a solution for you and I do agree that is strange a newer vehicle like your 2019 Ford Edge would come with a factory towing package but no brake controller connector. I verified with our system and there are no plug in adapters for your vehicle. However, you can still add a brake controller that does not require cutting into your vehicles wires. I recommend the Curt Echo item # C51180. The Echo plugs directly into your Edge's 7-Way connector and allows you to control the settings through an app on your phone. The Echo is also a proportional brake controller that slows or stops your trailer when your Edge decelerates. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone so you will never have to worry about losing signal. If your phone dies it automatically uses the default settings you program in.
If you like the reassurance of a manual override button you will want the Manual Override Button for Curt Echo Brake Controller item # C83HR. You can mount it wherever you want it inside your vehicle.
I linked a video below for you to take a look at.
